Biography
KSENIA SKAREDNOVA was born on February 22, 2002, in Donetsk. She studied at the Donetsk Choreographic School and the Boris Eifman Dance Academy. She graduated from the Tallinn Ballet School as a ballet dancer. After graduation, she danced with the Estonian National Theater. She studied the NDT repertoire with Stefan Jeromski as part of an intensive program, Wayne McGregor’s improvisation techniques, took a course in Martha Graham technique at the Martha Graham Dance Company, and attended master classes in duet dance with Daniel Otterwell, a teacher at the Zurich Academy of Dance, among others. Under the guidance of G. Selyutsky and S. Gumerova, she studied the legacy of Russian ballet and methods of reconstruction.
CHOREOGRAPHIC WORK She began her career in choreography production as an assistant to choreographer Marina Kesler on the production of the ballet *Three Sisters* at the Estonian National Opera and Ballet Theater. She graduate the N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory; Department of Ballet Direction, majoring in Ballet Choreographer, in the class of former Mariinsky Theatre soloist and Professor A.P. Bosov. In 2023, she worked with students at the Russian State Institute of Arts (RGIISI) (A. Moguchiy’s class) on movement studies based on Ostrovsky’s play *The Storm*, as part of a collaboration between Context.Diana Vishneva and the Bolshoi Drama Theater. Finalist and laureate of international ballet competitions (V. Gordeev’s “Grand Prix of Hope” in the “Choreographers” category (Moscow, 2024).
